About Midget Impingers
Impingers are Pyrex® glass bubble tubes designed
for the collection of airborne hazards into a liquid medium.
When using a personal air sampler, a known volume of air bubbles
is pumped through the glass tube that contains a liquid
specified in the method. The liquid is then analyzed to
determine airborne concentrations. An impinger may be mounted on
the side of an air sample pump or put into a holster and placed
near a worker's breathing zone.
Laboratory-quality Impingers
SKC impingers have graduations that are accurate to within ±
0.5 ml for each increment. This helps reduce volumetric
measurements required in the field and in the laboratory, while
also saving time and money.
Standard Midget Impinger with Standard
Nozzle
This impinger has a 25 ml capacity with graduations in 5 ml
increments. The tip is precisely placed in relationship to the
bottom end of the collection portion. The two pieces are joined
by a 24/40 ground-glass joint.

Special Midget Impinger with Fritted
Nozzle
is a modified standard midget with a special fritted tip to
increase the intimacy of contact between the air sample and the
liquid. Many NIOSH and OSHA procedures call for this type of
bubbler impinger.

Spill-Resistant Midget Impinger
is constructed to prevent liquid from spilling should it be
accidentally tipped or turned upside down. A special outlet side
arm extends midway down, with sufficient capacity above to
handle all of the liquid.

Teflon Impingers

| Made of Telfon PFA (fluoropolymer), these
60 ml unbreakable vessels are completely inert to
virtually all chemical and perform well in both high
temperatures and cryogenic applications. Available in
two different port configurations, the high performance
transfer caps and ferrule nuts provide a leak-tight
seal.
